Colonial Renewal

This project involved the renovation of a traditional colonial residence in Querétaro, thoughtfully preserving the architectural language of the neighborhood while introducing a refined contemporary layer.

The design approach focused on respecting the home’s original character—its proportions, materials, and spatial rhythm—while enhancing functionality and comfort for modern living. Warm wood elements were carefully integrated throughout the interiors, creating a cohesive dialogue between heritage and contemporary craftsmanship.

Natural light, material continuity, and subtle detailing became key design drivers, allowing the intervention to feel both timeless and intentional. Rather than contrasting old and new, the project seeks harmony—where tradition is honored and reinterpreted through a modern sensibility.
